Genshin Impact 2.6’s second phase introduces a new event, called Vibro-Crystal Research. In this event, players will face off against enemies under a time limit while using buffs known as transmitter and receiver crystals. If you are interested in earning rewards from the Vibro-Crystal Research event, this guide will walk you through the gameplay!
Vibro-Crystal Research gameplay
To be eligible to join the Vibro-Crystal Research event, you must be at least Adventure Rank 28 and have completed the Archon Quest “Rite of Parting” in “Chapter I: Act III – A New Star Approaches.” Activate the event story quest by talking to Katheryne at Liyue Harbor’s Adventurer’s Guild, then look for the Fontaine researcher, Patrice, in The Chasm to begin the event challenge.
After talking to the Fontaine researcher, you may start the challenge by choosing your preferred difficulty level. Each day throughout the first six days of the event, a new challenge is unlocked. The rewards will vary according to the difficulty level you select. Afterward, you will need to configure your Vibro-Crystal setup and party setup, which may include trial characters such as Venti, Raiden, Xiangling, and Xingqiu. Similar to the Spiral Abyss, each challenge is split into first half and second half. As such, you must form two different team compositions for each challenge.
During the event, Vibro-Crystals, which can be either Transmitter or Receiver Crystals, will be helpful in defeating your enemies as they provide a variety of buffs, depending on how they are mixed and matched. Transmitter Crystals provide the conditions to trigger the buff effect, and Receiver Crystals give the kind of buff that occurs once the conditions are satisfied. You may connect all three Transmitter Crystals into a single Receiver Crystal to increase the conditions for triggering the buff. However, you are not allowed to link two or three Receiver Crystals to a single Transmitter Crystal. Every stage will have a distinct set of buffs available, providing you with a greater variety of alternatives to choose from to match the enemies present on the stage you are on.
Furthermore, only the character that fulfilled the conditions of the Transmitter Crystals will be able to use the stacked buffs provided by the Receiver Crystals. Nonetheless, every time you meet the conditions of the Transmitter Crystal, you will receive Harmonic Points. The greater the number of Harmonic Points you earn, the higher your Harmonic Strength, boosting your entire team’s CRIT DMG. The Harmonic Point system would be similar to the Fervor system from the Hyakunin Ikki Events, such that if you fail to accumulate enough Harmonic Points, you will eventually lose the buffs you have earned.
That’s all the information you will need as you take part in the Vibro-Crystal Research event in Genshin Impact. You can learn more about the game by checking out the Genshin Impact section of our website!
